Jack Wilshere has revealed he’s confident of signing a new deal with Arsenal.
The midfielder has just six months remaining on his current contract, but is keen on extending his stay with Arsenal.
The Englishman has shown superb form for the Gunners this season following a broken leg earlier this year.
Arsene Wenger and the midfielder have always expressed their desires to continue working together and now it appears a resolution to contract talks will be found.
“I spoke to the boss and he said he will speak to me. We’ll see when he speaks to me and I’m sure it will get done,” the playmaker told Sky Sports.
Wilshere first broke into the Arsenal side in 2008, but has since struggled for consistency following a string of injuries.
The midfielder enjoyed a successful loan spell with Bournemouth last season, though a fractured leg saw him return to Arsenal prematurely.
Wilshere took the man of the match award as Arsenal beat Crystal Palace 3-2 on Thursday night to move them within a point of the top four.
Gooners, will you be pleased to see Jack extend his stay? Let us know in the comments…
