Arsene Wenger has rubbished reports that Arsenal have opened to talks with Barcelona over the possible signing of Hector Bellerin.

The Spain international signed a new deal with Arsenal in November, but links with the La Liga giants have remained.

Wenger though says there is no truth in the rumours.

“He has just extended his contract. It’s an unbelievable amount of years to go. I believe again it’s very difficult to take these things seriously,” said the Frenchman (via The Star).

Bellerin’s form has come under criticism in recent weeks.

Supporters are growing frustrated with the 21 year-old who has failed to deliver his best since returning from injury in January.

The man with three caps for Spain is in line to face West Brom on Saturday.

A win is crucial for Arsenal who sit 5th, five points off 4th placed Liverpool. Though Wenger’s side have a game in hand.
