According to reports, Alexis Sanchez has accepted he will not be sold this summer.

The Mirror claim the forward has already began dropping hints to his teammates that he will remain an Arsenal player.

Despite having entered the final year of his current contract, Arsene Wenger has insisted the Chilean will not be allowed to leave The Emirates this transfer window.

Sanchez has been heavily linked with a number of clubs this summer. Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have all been suggested destinations, but Arsenal have so far stood their ground and are seemingly content with losing him for free next summer.

The talisman who netted 30 times in all competitions for Wenger’s side last term watched Arsenal claim their third Community Shield in four seasons after a 4-1 victory on penalties over Chelsea at Wembley.

Sanchez could be available to figure in the Gunners’ first league game of the season at home to Leicester on Friday night.

Playing devils advocate, let’s suppose we sold Sanchez this window. Result is the team is far weaker and very unlikely to make CL next season. With Sanchez still here we have a decent chance of top four and are still most attractive to new signings who will all want to play in CL. Also an outside chance we can do so well that Sanchez will sign a new contract. Unless a ludicrously high offer comes from PSG, (as City will clearly not pay silly money for a man with only 1 year left on contract) in the short and medium term we are far better keeping him, esp bearing in mind the negative effect on club and fans morale and support if we sell, esp if we sell to City. For once, Wenger is right to stand firm, since he at least cares about the teams success, but the board and parasite owner only about money.

we’re very strong and it’s happiness to look sanchez signing a new contract but we still need cazorla’s replacement j.michael seri and thomas lemar from ligue 1.when this happens, we’ll be strong to win barca and bayern munich
