Arsene Wenger believes his side have regained some confidence after reaching the FA Cup semi-final.
The Gunners dispatched Lincoln City 5-0 on Saturday to move on from the humiliating Bayern defeat in the Champions League.
The league one side put up a resilient fight in the first half, but were unable to prevent four second half goals as Arsenal upped through the gears.
And according to Wenger, Arsenal’s confidence has returned.
“We have been short of confidence after some disappointing results recently,” said the Frenchman (via BBC Sport).
“When the confidence was there in the second half, our quality came back.
“It was all us in the second half but you have to congratulate Lincoln for what they have achieved in the FA Cup.”
Alexis Sanchez scored and provided one assist in the game.
The forward, who has been directly involved in 35 goals in 35 games in all competitions this season contributed in a much needed win at the end of a difficult week for Wenger.
