Arsenal striker Lucas Perez has opened talks with Fenerbahce over a potential move to the club.
The Turkish side were rumoured to be chasing Perez since the end of last season and it appears they are now a step closer to signing him.
According to Turkish news source Fanatik (via talkSPORT), Fenerbahce have now listed Perez as their number one transfer target.
The Spaniard was left out of the Arsenal’s squad for the Gunners’ pre-season tour of Australia, leaving his future further in doubt.
The move to Turkey is an opportunity for the striker to breathe new light into his career after a disappointing year at The Emirates. Perez, 28, received limited game time last season, despite impressing when utilised.
Arsene Wenger signed the forward for £17m from Deportivo La Coruna last summer. However the Frenchman preferred to utilise Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck as back up to Alexis Sanchez.
