According to reports, Arsenal are demanding £30m from Manchester City if they want to sign Alexis Sanchez in January.

Metro Sport claim the Gunners are willing to part with the Chilean who is unwilling to sign a new deal.

Sanchez, who is out of contract with the club at the end of the season came close to securing a deadline day move to Man City this summer.

The teams had a agreed a £60m fee, but a potential deal was scuppered after Arsenal failed to secure their prospective replacement Thomas Lemar.

It is suggested Sanchez and the club’s contract negotiations are at an impasse, following the Gunners refusal to meet his wage demands.

Sanchez could of course leave for free next summer, but it appears Arsenal are  seeking a return on the £31.7m they paid Barcelona for him in 2014.

If the forward does leave midway through the campaign, it could destabilise Arsenal’s efforts to finish in the top four and win a trophy this season.

Gooners, would you be ok with selling Sanchez in January? Let us know in the comments…

winger, the best option is to sell alexis Sanchez on January, if not we will loose by end of the season, we lost players that worth more back then, so he is not the first neither will he be the last, so i suggest we sell him now, and look for his replacement, lemar or reus. thanks

I remember Sanchez from when he was at udinese. Outstanding player. Not an Italian team that wouldn’t have spent big for him. Went to barca, did ok if not spectacular but found himself on the bench because the messi, Pedro and David villa triumvirate were annihilating all before them. Couple of years later Barcelona were happy enough to move him on to ourselves whilst making a decent profit to boot. I like him as a player and think that with Ozil, lacca, Giroud and welbz we have a very fluid and potent attack good enough to win the league. In my opinion at least a front 3 of Sanchez left, lacca middle and Lucas Perez right could have been as destructive as barca’s neymar, Suarez, messi. If man city will still do a deal in January then I would sell because them doing anything to interfere with Sane who plays in his position on the left, sterling on the right who’s now looking like a £50m player or the 2 up top who are simply scintillating then please go ahead pep and shoot yourself in the foot…but he ain’t that stupid, Sanchez would not be brought in to replace the aforementioned in the team, he would be there as back up should any lose form or get injured plus he doesn’t want to play KDB wide left any more. So like adebayor before him I would look forward to seeing him on their bench looking as happy as Larry. He’s quickly forgotten no one else wanted to pay £35m for a Barcelona reserve apart from Wenger.
