Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin was left furious with Arsene Wenger after being dropped for Arsenal’s trip to Brighton on Sunday.

The Gunnners went on to lose 2-1 at the Amex, but according to reports, Hector Bellerin was livid with Wenger for informing him just two hours before kick off.

Bellerin has figured 29 times for Arsenal in the Premier League this season, scoring twice and assisting once.

The Spanish ace only found he was not in the starting eleven when the Gunners boss named his team, before they slumped to their fourth defeat in a row, losing 2-1 at the Amex.

Wenger instead deployed Calum Chambers in his position, despite also being part of the defence for the 3-0 Carabao Cup final loss to Manchester City.

Bellerin is understood to believe he is being made a scapegoat for Arsenal’s dreadful run of form.

The full-back was linked with a switch to Barcelona last summer and after friction with the Arsenal fanbase, the 22 year-old has been tipped for an exit at the end of the season.

Gooners, should Bellerin have been dropped? Let us know in the commnets…

  2. I would bite the hand off any club that would pay £50m for Bellerin. Going forward, he is quick and assists the attack, however first and foremost he is a defender and I don”t think he is that good at defending. He gets caught out of position a lot (and not just after running up field to help an attack). I thought £50m that City paid for Kyle Walker was expensive, but in the reason game that Arsenal lost, Walker looked solid and contributed so much more to the team than Bellerin does. For £25m, I would keep Bellerin, but any big offer replace him. Reiss Nelson / Mailand Niles / Wilshere/ Ramsay need to be tied down to new contracts. order custom essay
