Arsenal made it two out of two with a 3-1 victory over Western Sydney Wanderers as their pre-season tour of Australia came to an end.
Arsene Wenger made hostile changes to his side, but the Frenchman continued to implement the adopted 3-4-3 formation.
The XI saw Mohamed Elneny start at centre-back, while Olivier Giroud and Alexandre Lacazette partnered Alex Iwobi up front.
Giroud quickly showed his manager what he has to offer after grabbing the first of the game on 33 minutes. Nacho Monreal’s cut back cross was met by the striker who appears poised for a move away.
The Gunners doubled their lead just four minutes later as Aaron Ramsey raced through and chipped the onrushing Vedran Janjetovic. And the game was put to bed as Elneny celebrated his new role by adding a third.
Wanderers did pull one back in the second half, but it was the Gunners who ended their trip to Australia tour in style.
The North Londoners next stop is Shanghai, China, where they will play Bayern Munich on July 19.
