Arsenal were able to close the gap on their top four rivals thanks to a 3-2 win over Crystal Palace – it was an evening that marked Arsene Wenger’s 810th Premier League match in charge.

The Frenchman reverted to a back four and his side took the lead midway through the first-half when Shkodran Mustafi tapped home from close range.

Arsenal dominated the first period, but Andros Townsend levelled shortly after half-time as Palace fought back.

However, contract rebel Alexis Sanchez responded with two goals in four minutes – the second coolly finished from Jack Wilshere’s pass over the top.

Roy Hodgeson’s side pulled one back in the dying minutes, but it was Wenger’s side who took the points. After the game, the Gunners boss insisted Arsenal will fight off interest for Sanchez in January.

The forward who has just six months to run on his current deal appeared to be disgruntled when several of his teammates failed to celebrate his goal.

Gooners, were you happy with the performance? Let us know in the comments…
