Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp believes Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang holds the potential to become one of Arsenal’s greatest ever strikers.
After arriving from Borussia Dortmund in January, the Gabon ace has gone on to find the net 6 times in seven Premier League appearances.
Aubameyang fired home as Arsenal scraped past Southampton 3-2 last Sunday and appears to be finding his feet at his new home.
“That’s what he (Aubameyang) was born to do, Ian Wright, Henry, all these players,” the former Liverpool midfielder said (via the Star)
“It’s just how they finish, they finish all the time and it’s a toe poke.
“You think ‘how has he done that?’ but that’s what he’s done throughout his career.
“He makes it look easy and a very good goal from an Arsenal point of view but from a Southampton point of view there are so many mistakes we haven’t got enough time to go through it.”
The £55m striker is ineligible to represent Arsenal in the Europa League, having already appeared in the competition with Dortmund. However, 28 year-old has been able to maintain Arsenal’s recent winning run by scoring in the Premier League.
Gooners, how would you describe Aubameyang’s start in one word?
