According to reports, Arsenal are poised to launch a bid for Nice midfielder Jean-Michael Seri.
The 26 year-old, who is a suggested target of Sp*rs could be the subject of a bidding war this summer. He had an excellent season at the heart of Nice’s midfield last term as the club secured Champions League football for the first time in three years.
The report suggests Arsenal have still pinned Thomas Lemar as their prime target, but Wenger is a huge admirer of Seri.
The Gunners have already added Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette to their books this summer, but the Arsenal manager has insisted there are more arrivals to come.
Nice’s president Jean-Pierre Rivère told L’Equipe (via Metro) last week: ‘There should be three or four more arrivals, and two departures.
‘We want to finish these as soon as possible, but certain cases take more time than others.’
Seri could be available for £36million this summer, though with both Roma and Tottenham circling the Ivorian, that evaluation could rise.
Gooners, would you like to see Wenger swoop in for Seri? Or prefer he strengthen elsewhere? Let us know in the comments…
