Arsenal left it late, but Olivier Giroud’s stunning strike gave the Gunners all three points in Belgrade.

As expected, Arsene Wenger made several changes to his Europa League side. The Frenchman handed starts to Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Reiss Nelson and Joe Willock, while Jack Wilshere was also given another run out.

The makeshift side failed to impress in the first half, allowing Red Star to register a number of opportunities on goal.

Wenger’s side improved in the second period and after threatening the Red Star defence on several occasions, the Gunners finally found the breakthrough on 85 minutes.

A slick move involving Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott was acrobatically finished off by Olivier Giroud to give the Gunners victory.

Arsenal have now won all three of their Group H games and look set to qualify for the last 32.

  1. i think defence like this desciplined , tight and tactically correct so a good match . in order to win premiere league or Champions league , You need to have both things placed correctly . Offense and deffence .
