Odds have been slashed on Chelsea legend John Terry signing for Arsenal this summer.

Terry who has nearly 500 games for the Blues announced he will be leaving the club at the end of the season.

According to the Daily Star, Arsenal have emerged as leading favourites to sign the 36 year-old.

Terry would not be the first senior player from Chelsea to move to The Emirates. Arsenal signed Petr Cech from the West Londoners for around £10m in the summer of 2015.

Arsene Wenger’s side are expected to compete with Bournemouth, Swansea and West Ham who are also keen on securing the former England captain’s services.

Bookies William Hill have seen a surge of betting on Terry joining the Gunners, leading to odds of 33/1 plummeting to 5/1 in the space of an hour.

He would be great signing,he would bring stability, organisation, leadership and strength into the defence. I know he is getting on but he has a winning mentality and experience that has been missing for years.
Just think back to the days of Dixon,Adams,Keown and Winterburn.then Seaman between the sticks. If only we could turn the clock back!!
