Arsenal have joined the race to sign Ross Barkley this summer, according to reports.
The Everton midfielder has just one year to run on his current deal and could be available for a cut price this summer.
Barkley, 23, has been in and out of the Everton team this season. He was dropped to bench before his side’s defeat at Swansea and the Daily Mail suggest the star wants a fresh start at a Champions League club.
Arsene Wenger’s side will go head to head with Sp*rs in order to sign the England international. The Toffies will demand a fee of £35m should Barkley refuse to sign a new deal.
The move for Barkley could signal the end for Jack Wilshere’s Arsenal career. The playmaker has returned to The Emirates after his loan spell at Bournemouth was cut short. Wilshere suffered a broken leg last month.
