Arsenal have joined the race to sign Ross Barkley this summer, according to reports.

The Everton midfielder has just one year to run on his current deal and could be available for a cut price this summer.

Barkley, 23, has been in and out of the Everton team this season. He was dropped to bench before his side’s defeat at Swansea and the Daily Mail suggest the star wants a fresh start at a Champions League club.

Arsene Wenger’s side will go head to head with Sp*rs in order to sign the England international. The Toffies will demand a fee of £35m should Barkley refuse to sign a new deal.

The move for Barkley could signal the end for Jack Wilshere’s Arsenal career. The playmaker has returned to The Emirates after his loan spell at Bournemouth was cut short. Wilshere suffered a broken leg last month.

No I wouldn’t have him, he’s like Ozil…lazy and couldn’t be arsed, loses the ball too much then shrugs his shoulders….overrated, a 10 minute he should fit right in at AFC

  2. neil says:

Wenger destroyed Wilshire, overplayed him as a 17 year old, Wenger also destroyed Reyes and Arshavin

Wenger being a great manager is a fucking lie…a myth, he is ordinary at best

Lacks tactical nous, lacks balls, does the same thing over and over with the same result.. defeat

It worked for him in 2003-04,,,and wonders why it hadn’t worked for the last 13 years

    stupid cunt, absolute fuck wit

I think Barkely is a good player. To compare him to Ozil is harsh on the boy. Ozil is one of the most inaffective lazy slow weak players I’ve ever seen at Arsenal.I saw more from David Hilliar than Mesut Ozil. Mug said.Id take John Jensen over Ozil any day of the year.
