Arsenal are set to join Atletico Madrid in a bidding war for Southampton midfielder Dusan Tadic.
Reports are that the Gunners, who are expected to a have summer squad turnaround, have emerged as one of the leading favourites to sign the Serbia international.
Tadic has attracted the attention of top European clubs since his £12m move to Southampton from FC Twente in 2014.
Arsene Wenger views the 28 year-old as a possible replacement for Mesut Ozil, with the German yet to agree a new contract at The Emirates and has been linked with a summer move.
Yet the Gunners face competition from Atletico Madrid. Spanish outlet El Desmarque claim the Spanish giants are keen on the playmaker with Atletico boss Diego Simeone an admirer of Tadic’s versatility.
Manchester City and Italian giants Napoli and Roma have also shown interest in Serb who has scored three times and provided six assists in the Premier League this season.
