Mesut Ozil has not failed to receive offers from top European clubs and could now sign a new deal with Arseanl.
The midfielder has been tipped for a move away from The Emirates this summer but potential suitors have failed to materialise.
Ozil has just over a year remaining on his current deal and the Gunners had expected to receive big money offers for the playmaker.
Arsenal had proposed a new £250,000-a-week deal – substantially higher than Ozil’s current £140,000-a-week – yet the 28 year-old refused to sign.
The Mail report that interest from the Chinese-Super League still remains, although Ozil is reluctant to move to the Far East.
Fenerbahce are suggested to be keen on the Germany international who is of Turkish heritage, but the club are unwilling to meet Ozil’s wage demands.
It now appears that the attacking-midfielder’s future is in North London, for this season at least.
