Arsenal have been put off from pursuing Monaco star Kylian Mbappe after the club claim they require a world record fee for the player, talkSPORT reports.
Mbappe has attracted interested from a number of European giants this season, having scored 34 goals in all competitions for the French side.
It now appears Arsenal are out of the running to sign the Ligue 1 striker with Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Real Madrid the more likely to cough up the money.
The current transfer record was set just last summer by Manchester United for Paul Pogba. Jose Mourinho’s side paid out £89m for the France international.
The 18 year-old bagged a brace against Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday.
Monaco take a 3-2 advantage back to the Stade Louis II next week in a bid to reach the semi-final stage for the first time since 2004.
