According to reports, Arsenal chief scout Sven Mislintat has eyed bolstering their defence with the addition of Freiburg’s Caglar Soyuncu (the Daily Mail).

The Turkey international has been attracting plenty of interest since he joined the Bundesliga outfit and has become one of the most consistent centre-backs in the league despite a difficult start.

Mislintat has already been hailed as the man behind the deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and is now keeping tabs on Freiburg ace Soyuncu.

The powerful 6ft 2in defender is wanted by his club. Though it is thought that an offer in the region of £30million could see him depart from the Bundesliga side.

Arsenal missed out on a deal for Jonny Evans in  January and have been tipped to resume their interest this summer. The former Manchester United defender could be available for as littleas £3m.

It seems Arsenal fans can expect a busy transfer window whether that’s with or without Arsene Wenger this summer.
