Arsenal target Jadon Sancho has been absent from training this week as he looks to force through a move to The Emirates.
The Independent claim the 17 year-old has been tracked by the Gunners for some time. He was one of the few left behind for Manchester City’s pre-season tour of the USA and feels his latest omission is a sign demonstrating too many blockades in his path to reach Pep Guardiola’s first-team.
The youngster was initially pencilled in to be part of Guardiola’s squad, but was subsequently dropped as a result of a contract stand-off.
Sancho is also being chased by Tottenham, and is still open to joining Mauricio Pochettino’s side. Both Arsene Wenger and Pochettino have a track record of developing young talent and the midfielder evaluates his chances are better served in North London.
Manchester City are still keen to maintain the starlet, but the suggestions are that the former Watford academy player has his heart set on a return to his home town.
