Arsenal suffered their sixth away defeat in a row as an injury time header from Marouane Fellaini sealed a 2-1 win for Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Arsene Wenger was presented an award before the game by longtime rival Sir Alex Ferguson, but his much changed Arsenal side were unable to gift him with all three points at Old Trafford.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles started in midfield, while Kostas Mavropanos became the 200th player to be handed his debut under Wenger for the Gunners. Calum Chambers and Reiss Nelson were also in the XI with Wenger keeping one eye on Thursday’s all important Europa League clash with Atletico Madrid.

United had opened the scoring on 16 minutes when a header from former Arsenal player Alexis Sanchez was knocked on to the post by Hector Bellerin, but Paul Pogba pounced to prod home.

The Gunners thought back through ex-United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan. The Armenian’s low strike left De Gea rooted as Arsenal got back to level terms.

However, the hosts stole all three points when Marouane Fellaini rose highest to head passed David Ospina.
