Arsenal got back to winning ways in the Premier League thanks to a 3-0 victory over Watford at the Emirates.

Shkodran Mustafi put the north Londoners in front with just 7 minutes on the clock after heading in from Mesut Ozil’s fizzing free-kick.

Watford huffed and puffed and occasionally threatened in the second period. However, the game appeared out of reach when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang doubled Arsenal’s lead on 59 minutes.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles brought down Richarlison in the penalty box. Watford skipper Troy Deeney famously ridiculed Arsenal’s fighting spirit back in October by claiming the Gunners lacked ‘cojones’.

However, the striker didn’t have balls of steel to beat Petr Cech from the spot – it was the veteran keeper’s first penalty stop in Arsenal colours to mark 200 Premier League clean sheets.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan then added a third with his first goal for the club.
