A half full Emirates Stadium watched Arsenal see off Stoke City 3-0 on Sunday.
Thousands of Arsenal fans stayed away from the clash with Paul Lambert’s relegation threatened side who were flattered by the three-goal win.
Arsne Wenger’s men were booed off at half-time at after seeing Aaron Ramsey clip the crossbar with their only clear chance of the first 45 minutes.
However, a more spirited second-half eventually saw the deadlock broken as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang fired home from the penalty spot.
The Gabon striker fired home from a Meust Ozil corner for Arsenal’s second on 86 minutes.
Aubameyang then unselfishly passed up the opportunity to claim his first Gunners hat-trick when he offered a returning Alexandre Lacazette to slot home Arsenal’s third from the spot. The Frenchman had been bundled over by Stoke’s Badou Ndiaye to win the penalty for his side.
Arsenal are still 13 points behind 4th placed Tottenham. Stoke remain in the relegation zone and three points from safety.
