Arsenal were punished by Antoine Greizmann who salvaged a daw for 10-man Atletico Madrid at the Emirates.

The two side desperate to make the Europa League final kicked off their first-leg in tenacious fashion. Diego’s Simeone side were on the back foot just 9 minutes into the game as Sime Vrsaljko was shown his marching order for a second yellow.

There was double delight for Gooners when Diego Simeone was sent to the stands for protesting a foul against Arsenal.

The rest of the first-half saw Arsene Wenger’s side amp up the pressure, but the Gunners were unable to break the deadlock. That was until Alexandre Lacazette netted his 16 goal of the season. The Frenchman rose to nod in Jack Wilshere’s cross and send the Emirates into ecstasy.

However, the bane of Arsene Wenger’s time at the Emirates struck again with yet another defensive mishap. Laurent Koscielny’s error led to Antoine Griezmann putting Atleti on level terms and in pole position to go through.

Gooners, can we still go through? Let us know in the comments…
