Arsenal have a sizeable 4-1 lead heading into the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final clash with CSKA Moscow.

Arsene Wenger’s side put on a dominant performance when the two sides met at the Emirates last week and the Gunners now only need to keep it tight at the back to ensure they reach the last four.

Winning the competition would see the Gunners make a swift return to Champions League football.

Danny Welbeck scored twice during last weekend’s dramatic 3-2 conquering of Southampton. The Englishman will be pushing for a start alongside Alexandre Lacazette, who netted twice at the Emirates 7 days ago.

One player who is set to miss the match in Moscow is Granit Xhaka. The Swiss midfielder is out due to illness, while in-form hitman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is ineligible.

With Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ineligible, Wenger will turn to Alexandre Lacazette to wrap things up. The Frenchman is in a rich vain of form since returning form injury.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Elneny who had his red card against Southampton rescinded could fill in for the unwell Granit Xhaka.

The Gunners created plenty of opportunities in the corresponding fixture and if not for profligate finishing, the tie would already be over.

But despite being in control, the Gunners will need to be on high alert – particularly after watching Barcelona’s 4-1 lead overturned against Roma on Tuesday night.

Still, Arsene Wenger’s side should have enough to see us through to the last for.

Prediction: 2-1 CSKA
