Arsene Wenger is expected to hand out opportunities to his Europa League side as Arsenal take on Norwich in the fifth round of the Carabao Cup.

A goal from Theo Walcott was enough for the Gunners to see off Doncaster in round four, despite the lower league sides honourable efforts.

Walcott is expected to start. While Olivier Giroud, Reiss Nelson and Ainsley Maitland-Niles will be raring for some more first-team action.

Shkodran Mustafi (hamstring), Calum Chambers (hip), Santi Cazorla (ankle), Danny Welbeck and David Ospina (both groin) miss out.

The visitors have sold out their 9,000 ticket allocation and the Canaries will be desperate for a shocking upset.

A win would secure Arsenal’s eighth in 10 games. A run that has seen them take charge of their Europa League group and move into fifth in the Premier League.

Arsenal edged passed Norwich 1-0 in the side’s last meeting in Arpil 2016. The Canaries have lost four out of their last five meetings but last registered a win against the Gunners in October 2012.

Arsene Wenger is expected to make hostile changes from the side that dispatched Everton on Sunday. Jack Wilshere earned his first Premier League appearance on the weekend after stepping off the bench. He’s likely to feature from the start in this one:
Arsenal XI: Ospina; Nelson, Holding, Mertesacker, Debuchy, Maitland-Niles; Wilshere, Elneny; Iwobi, Walcott, Giroud.

An in form Arsenal could make light work of Norwich. Anything less and it represents a tough game for Wenger’s men. The Canaries will be backed by 9,000 away supporters all dreaming of an upset.

But Arsenal should see themselves into the next round.

Prediction: 3-1
