Arsenal take on Everton at the Emirates in what is a must win for the Gunners in their attempts to close the gap to their Champions League rivals.
Deadline day signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is in line to make his debut, while Henrikh Mkhitarayan could start after coming on as a substitute in the club’s 3-1 defeat at Swansea.
The duo combined for 62 goals while at Borussia Dortmund together in the 2015-16 season and Gooners will be hoping that partnership can help the club fulfil their top four ambitions.
Danny Welbeck is sidelined with a hip injury and Jack Wilshere faces a late fitness test after suffering from illness.
As for the visitors, Everton boss Sam Allardyce is likely to start Theo Walcott on his return to the Emirates. The Englishman scored a brace for the Toffees in midweek.
Everton, who have moved comfortably into the top half, are without Leighton Baines, James McCarthy, Ramiro Funes Mori and Maarten Stekelenburg through injuries.
ARSENAL PREDICTED XI
Arsene Wenger has a number of attacking considerations to make before Saturday’s action.
The boss could pair Lacazette with Aubameyang up front, but that would see a change to the system. Most likely, Wenger will leave Aubameyang on the bench, continue with a back three and deploy Ozil and new signing Mkhitaryan behind top scorer Lacazette.
Arsenal XI: Cech; Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal, Maitland-Niles; Wilshere, Xhaka; Ozil; Mkhitaryan, Lacazette.
Everton are in good form under Sam Allardyce, but Arsenal simply must win this one to put some pressure on the sides above them.
Gooners will be expecting Aubameyang to take some part in the contest and will have their fingers crossed the Gunners defence stays in tack.
Prediction: 3-1 Arsenal
