Manchester United are all set to snatch Mesut Ozil from Arsenal for a cut-price in January, reports claim.

Ozi, who is out of contract with the club at the end of the season can walk for free in June. However, TEAMtalk claim Arsenal have reconsidered the idea of allowing him to leave on a free and are resigned to settling for a lower asking price in order to get him off the payroll in the new year.

The German has been the subject of heavy criticism in recent days following his role in Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat at Watford on Saturday. Ozil was ridiculed for being profligate in front of goal and criticised for lacking fight in the build up to Watford’s winner.

Now it is being suggested that United will make an approach in January in belief they can snap up Ozil for as little as £26million.

Gooners, will you be disappointed to see Ozil leave? Let us know in the comments…

It would be stupid beyond belief to sell him. Espec to Mourinho

  2. A Zeus says:

Why would anyone pay 26 million £ for a player they can get for free 5 months later? Man Utd don’t need Ozil so why would they pay that much.

  3. Pats says:

No one is paying money to sign Ozil. Every club that wants him will wait till summer to sign him for free as he is just a luxury player not worth paying top money for.

under maurinho , he will be converted as lethal weapon in EPL like the times of RM in LaLiga…mark my words !
