Manchester United have lined up a shock move for Alexis Sanchez and have offered Arsenal Henrikh Mkhitaryan as part of the deal.
Sanchez has appeared Manchester City bound since last summer. The 29 year-old failed to link up with Pep Guardiola in 2017, but with his contract now nearing expiry, he has been tipped for a move to the Etihad either in January or at the end of the season.
Yet the latest reports say City’s rivals Man Utd have sprung an audacious move to sign the Chile international and have bid in the region of £25m.
Jose Mourinho is reportedly is confident in signing Sanchez and is ready to offer Henrikh Mkhytarayan as part of an exchange.
Whether City respond remains to be seen. After it was confirmed Gabriel Jesus will be sidelined for two months, Guardiola’s side were suggested to be readying an offer to bring Sanchez for a cut-price this month.
