Liverpool are ready to attempt to lure Jack Wilshere to Anfield this summer.

Wilshere’s Arsenal contract is set to expire at the end of the season and the 26 year-old is still no closer to penning new deal at the Emirates

The midfielder has impressed after making his return to the Arsenal team this season.

Arsenal have offered the Wilshere a new deal worth £90,000-a-week  – £20,000-a-week less than his current wages. Should the midfielder reject the contract, The Sun claim Jurgen Klopp’s side will pursue the Gunners star.

Wilshere has been tipped for a return to Gareth Southgate’s England side ahead of this summer’s World Cup.

The 26-year-old, who has 34 international caps for his country, has scored two goals and provided four assists in 24 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners so far this season.
