Arsenal will be looking to revamp their defence this summer after conceding 43 league goals so far this season.

Should Arsene Wenger remain in charge, the Gunners boss may resume interest in signing West Brom captain Jonny Evans.

The boss, who is expected to honour his contract and remain at the club, launched a bid for the centre-back in January. However, Albion swiftly turned down the £12m offer.

Now reports claim the Gunners are eyeing a deal for Evans in the summer.

The ex-Manchester United defender will be available for a cut-price £3million on a relegation buy-out clause.

Evans, 30, has been one of the few shining lights for West Brom who look set to be relegated from the Premier League.

However, the Mirror claim the Northern Irishman would favour a move to Manchester City over the Emirates.

Gooners, do you want to sign Evans? Let us know in the comments…
