Arsenal boss Unai Emery will be keen to put his stamp on his new side.

The 46 year-old, who arrived on a three-year deal with the Gunners, will already have a strong idea of the type of player he wants to bring in as well as the personnel he’s ready to cut.

One man who arguably is still untried at the Emirates is Spanish striker Lucas Perez.

The hitman was shipped out on loan last season and registered a respectable goal tally during his second stint at Deportivo la Coruna.

Depor achieved just seven wins all season, but Perez did find the net eight times as well as providing six assists. Despite impressing, the Spaniard couldn’t prevent his side from dropping into the second division.

Perez started just two league games in 2016/17

Remarkably, only Barcelona’s little magician Lionel Messi created more chances in La Liga last season

The 29 year-old, who scored a Champions League hat-trick for Arsenal could have a route back to the Emirates under a new manager.

He’s already proven his striking qualities by firing 17 league goals for Depor in 2015/16.

Arsenal currently have the lethal Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leading the line, while Alexandre Laaczette also achieved double figures in his first spell in the Premier League.

Perez will be due back for the start of pre-season on July 2, where he will come face-to-face with a man who has expressed an interest in signing him on two occasions.

Gooners, would you take Perez given an opportunity? Or is he surplus to requirements? Let us know in the comments…
