Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu favours a move to “England or Italy”¬†amid interest from Arsenal, Tottenham and Lazio.

According to the Daily Star, the 23-year-old, who missed the final four months of last season due to a FIFA suspension, is exciting some of Europe’s top clubs after a string of fine displays in the Bundesliga before his absence.

The Arsenal manager is plotting a revamp of his squad following a disappointing campaign that saw them finish fifth in the Premier League.

Bayer officials Rudi Voller and Jonas Boldt held talks with Calhanoglu regarding his future and further meetings are expected in the coming weeks.

Arsenal have already announced a new signing this summer. Left back Sead Kolasinac signed from Schalke on a free.

And Kolasinac could be joined at the Emirates Stadium by Bayer Leverkusen keeper Bernd Leno and winger Hakan Calhanoglu.
