Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville believes Alexis Sanchez is frustrated that Alexandre Lacazette has taken his central role.

The Chilean who is currently sidelined with a abdominal strain watched as the Frenchman scored his first Arsenal goal in the 4-3 win over Leicester on Friday night.

Lacazette played superbly down the middle and was a consistent threat for the Leicester defence. Speaking on Sky Sports, Neville reckons Sanchez would be unhappy to be pushed out wide.

“I suppose for Arsenal the big question is when Sanchez comes back, is he a replacement for Sanchez?”, said the former Manchester United defender (via Daily Star).

“You can’t see Sanchez being too happy having played central last year, going out wide.

“That will be interesting to see how it evolves over the next few weeks.”

Sanchez could return in time for Arsenal’s trip to Stoke next Saturday (19 August). It remains to be seen as to where the forward will line-up.

Another man who has reason to be concerned over playing time down the middle is Olivier Giroud. The Frenchman stepped off the bench to score the winner against the Foxes, but is expected to play second fiddle to Arsenal’s record signing.

There is literally not one shred of evidence that signing Lacazette has irritated Sanchez. All Neville is trying to do, is make Sanchez look like some selfish, egotistical dick and stir things up (and, unfortunately, a lot of Arsenal fans will lap it up). Pathetic.

  2. that gary is just stupid you not sanchez just shut up

  3. Ssk says:

Yeah… But Wenger could tweak the system to 3-5-2 to accommodate xhaka, ozil, Ramsey, lacazette and giroud/sanchez(if he stays)…

I wonder how guys like Gary Neville pull this crap off week in…week out…there is so many analysts or reporters that are not ‘connected’ that are pushed aside or not given the same opportunity. It’s a shame ! Even if Sanchez were to leave it will not cover the fraud..

  8. Wot drug is he on. Sanchez is too fu*king small to be a striker. He is goddam left wing.In the 2015/16, where did Arsenal end up ? 2nd for crying out loud! With lacazette, in front with Sanchez and Walcott on the flanks, we can be scoring goals for fun.But for now Shut up Gary
