According to Turkish Football, Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde is hoping to make changes to his squad in January and has told Turan he will not be a part of his plans.

The result followed a 5-2 comeback win away to Everton in the previous Premier League fixture, while a double from substitute Eddie Nketiah also saw the fight back from a goal down to beat Norwich 2-1 in the Carabao Cup.

Wenger’s side’s character had been called into question by Watford skipper Troy Deene, following the club’s 2-1 defeat at Vicarage Road.

However, Xhaka believes his side’s attitude cannot be questioned.

‘It’s the third time in a week that the team have come from behind to win, that says a lot about this team,’ Xhaka said (via the Mail).

‘Lots of people talk about the character of our team, that it’s not right and that we need to do more. But we always show that we can come back.

Today we were 1-0 down, last week we were 1-0 down, but we turned the games around and that shows the character of this team.

He added: ‘The manager told us at half-time that we had to give more, that we had to be more aggressive and play quicker.

‘You have to pay compliments to Swansea – they stood deep in the first half and were good defensively. In the second half, we played as we know we can and it was very important for us to win.’

Gooners, have Arsenal got their mojo back? Or is it just a temporary surge? Let us know in the comments…
