Alexis Sanchez has returned to training ahead of Arsenal’s Community Shield clash with Chelsea.

The Chilean who missed the Emirates Cup last weekend was given an extended break after helping his national side reach the Confederations Cup final.

Much has been made of Sanchez’s contract situation, but Arsene Wenger has insisted the 28 year-old will remain an Arsenal player for the foreseeable future.

There were fears Arsenal’s talisman would not show up after complaining of an illness over the weekend, but it appears he is ready for a new season with the Gunners. He posted an image on Instagram saying: “Back to training”.

Whether Sanchez will be fit enough to start for the curtain raiser against Chelsea is unlikely, but the forward could certainly rack up some minutes under his belt.

Either way, Arsenal fans are just happy to see him draping the Arsenal shirt once again.

if care is not taken, arsene wenger will get the same result as before if he sticks to the same set of players like ramsey, giroud, bellering, etc.cause’i Don’t know why he is stalling to sign the players he needs, and doing everything possible to tie down his main man, sanches. It is crystal clear now that arsene is the problem of arsenal.I dont know why sevilla will come beat you at emirates.Dont just give us another season of Disappointment.
