Arsenal target Kostas Manolas admits he’s open to leaving Roma for Old Trafford switch

However, the Greek centre-back has named the Red Devils alongside Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich as the biggest sides in world football.

New boss Unai Emery has already recruited three players to bolster his defence ahead of the new season.

Manolas has established himself as one of the leading centre-halves in Europe. The 27 year-old, who is under contract with Roma until 2022, was close to joining Zenit Saint-Petersburg last year but snubbed the switch at the 11th hour.

The interest from other clubs remains and Manolas won’t commit to Roma forever.

Reports in Italy last month suggested Chelsea have held talks with Roma over a deal but Manolas insists he is happy at Roma.“I am very pleased,” he told Sport24. “I did a very good year, but I personally do not even deal with the transcripts.

“I have signed a very good contract, I am very happy in Rome and my wife and my children are loved by the world. And it is very important that the world loves me.”
