It might have been three years in the making, but Arsenal finally got there. Alexandre Lacazette is now officially an Arsenal player.
The Frenchman has become the club’s record signing from Lyon in a deal worth up to £52m.
Lacazette who has already been welcome by his new teammates has signed a five-year deal for Arsene Wenger’s side.
With the prolific striker to play ahead of Mesut Ozil, the Gunners could be real contenders next season.
The uncertainty continues in regards to Alexis Sanchez. Arsenal’s dream front three is in jeopardy as the Chilean has failed to sign a new contract with the club.
Sanchez is a man in high demand with Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Manchester City all interested in his services.
Wenger is reluctant to sell the 28 year-old, especially to a direct rival. But with Sanchez able to leave on a free next summer, the question remains as to whether should Arsenal cash in on the forward whilst they still can.
