Arsenal stars Petr Cech and Jack Wilshere have come out and apologised to the fans following yet another loss.

The Gunners were picked off by Brighton on Sunday and the 2-1 defeat was the fourth on the trot in all competitions.

Wilshere apologised, but has called for the fans to stick with the team after the club fell 13 points behind fourth-placed Tottenham.

Writing on Twitter, he said: “I’m sorry to the gooners out there. You deserve better. Thats [sic] all i have to say.

“I know its difficult at the moment in this difficult period we are going through as a team but we need you. We will do better but please stick with us ❤”.

Meanwhile, Petr Cech has also apologised for his mistakes during Sunday’s defeat.

The veteran ‘keeper also used Twitter to share his message:

‘If you want to win a game away of home in the best league in the world your GK can’t concede 2 goals like I did today … it’s simply not possible … The team fought back but the damage was done .’
