Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin is closing in on a move to Valencia, reports say.
The Frenchman has failed to establish a regular starting place this season having started just one Premier League game.
Granit Xhaka, Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey have all dominated the midfield positions in the Premier League, while Coquelin has been restricted to starts in the Europa League.
Reports suggest the Spanish side will pay £12m for the Frenchman’s services.
Both Crystal Palace and West Ham had earmarked the midfielder to anchor their midfield. However, Coquelin is set to join the La Liga outfit currently placed above Real Madrid.
Coquelin was left out of Wenger’s 18-man squad for their FA Cup third round defeat to Nottingham Forest on Sunday in an indication that his time is up at the Gunners.
The midfielder, nicknamed ‘Coq-block’ has appeared over 100 times in the Premier League for the north Londoners.
