Arsenal and Chelsea shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw at the Emirates on Wednesday night.

The Gunners had their chances and when Alexis Sanchez’s snap shot hit both posts, many would have been forgiven for thinking it was not going to be Arsenal’s night.

However, one player who was endured an equally profligate evening was Alvaro Morata.

The Spaniard had three clear cut opportunities to add to the Blues’ goal tally, but failed to find the back of the net on each occassion.

The first saw him race through one on one in the first-half, only to see spurn his shot wide. Just a few minutes later the 25 year-old beat Shkodran Mustafi to the near post, but was unable to make a connection with the ball.

And at 2-2 in the dying minutes of the game the ace ran clear one-on-one with Petr Cech, though his flimsy shot was easily saved.

It was a disappointing night for the hitman, who has found his name replaced by the word “miss”.
