According to reports, Arsenal have set sights on 18 year-old Toulouse goalkeeper Alban Lafont.
The youngster broke into Toulouse’s first-team at the tender age of 16 and has not looked back since.
French outlet Le 10 Sport, claim the Gunners have been monitoring Lafont’s progress for some time and are now ready to step up their interest.
The Frenchman who became the youngest goalkeeper in 30 years to reach 50 appearances in February is seen as a long-term replacement for Petr Cech.
Neither Wojciech Szczesny or David Ospina have been dependable for Arsenal between the sticks and Arsene Wenger is prepared to allow both players to leave this summer.
Szczesny has been heavily linked with a move to Juventus, while a move for Ospina is also on the cards.
It will be a tough ask for the Gunners to sign Lafont, with Lazio, Porto and Bayern Munich all rumoured to be interested in the under-20 international.
