Arsenal have been paired with West Ham in a Carabao Cup quarter-final clash.

The Gunners who left it late to see off Norwich City in round five will take on Slaven Bilic’s Hammers at the Emirates (week commencing December 18).

A double from youngster Eddie Nketiah overcame Daniel Farke’s spirited Canaries – for a long time it appeared Josh Murphy’s opener had sealed a shock giant killing for the Championship side.

Gooners had something else to celebrate the following night as arch rivals Spurs blew a two goal lead to lose 3-2 at home to West Ham. Andre Ayew scoring twice in the win at Wembley.

The two now go head-to-head for a chance to make the semi-finals of the competition.

The League Cup is the only domestic trophy to elude Wenger’s grasp since the Frenchman arrived in 1996.

Gooners, will Wenger finally get his hands on the league cup? Let us know in the comments…
