Arsenal have announced the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on a long-term contract.

The 28 year-old becomes the Gunners club-record signing for a fee reported to be £55.4 million.

Aubameyang has established himself as one of the world’s most sought after strikers having scored 98 goals in 143 Bundesliga appearances.

In all competitions, the Gabon international averages 96 minutes per goal or assist.

Arsenal are not expected to make any further signings today. That’s despite another poor defensive display in their 3-1 defeat at Swansea on Tuesday.

More good news for Arseanl fans emerged on Wednesday following reports Mesut Ozil has agreed a new contract with the club.
Ozil, whose current deal is due to expire at the end of the season has reportedly penned a deal worth £350,ooo-per-week.
