According to reports, Arsenal have had a bid for Napoli midfielder Jorginho rejected.

The Brazilian-born Italy international plays as a holding midfielder for the Italian outfit and has emerged as one of the finest players in Serie A.

Napoli are suggested to have turned down a have seen an offer of 17 million Euro for the 25 year-old and have told Arsene Wenger’s side they have no interest in parting with the player.

Jorginho signed for the Italian side from Hellas Verona for 9.5 million Euro in 2014. It was recently revealed that the defensive-midfielder made more passes per game than any other player in Europe’s top 5 leagues last season.

Arsenal have a number of central midfielder’s, none of which appear to be on the verge of leaving the club.

The Gunners signed Granit Xhaka for £35m last season and with Aaron Ramsey’s form improving, Jack Wilshere returning to The Emirates and Santi Cazorla to come back, is central-midfield the position we need to strengthen?
