Three of the four teams in the Europa League semi-final ties have been charged by UEFA.

The 1-1 draw the Emirates between Arsenal and Atletico saw Atleti’s Sime Vrsaljko sent off and boss Diego Simeone sent to the stands just minutes later.

Simeone has been charged with insulting a match official and Atletico with improper conduct of the coach and the throwing of objects.

Arsenal meanwhile have been charged for fireworks set off.

Both hearings will take place on 4 May, one day after the second leg in Madrid.

The tie hangs on a knife edge after the side’s drew 1-1. Antoine Griezmann was on hand to capitalise on a mishap at the back for Arsenal and bring Atleti on level terms.

Who they could meet in the final appears more clear after Marseille ran out 2-0 winners against Red Bull Salzburg in the other semi-final. The French side also received two Uefa charges, for setting off fireworks and the blocking of stairways.
