Arsenal have agreed a fee of £55.4million with Borussia Dortmund to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, though the deal hinges on Olivier Giroud’s proposed transfer.

According to reports, Dortmund are keen on signing Giroud to replace the departing Aubameyang. Giroud is ready to leave Arsenal for regular first-team football, but the Frenchman prefers Chelsea.

The Frenchman was advised to consider his future by national team coach Guy Stephan if he has ambitions of making France’s World Cup 2018 squad.

Chelsea are interested in signing a powerful frontman to help the struggling Alvaro Morata.

And with Giroud now favouring the Blues, it’s urged Dortmund switched their attention to Chelsea’s Belgium forward Michy Batshuayi, who would welcome the move.

Like Giroud, Batshuayi, 24, has been used mainly as a substitute at Chelsea and wants first-team football in a World Cup year.

Gooners, would you be happy for Giroud to leave if we sign Aubameyang? Let us know in the comments…
